— ART, FASHION & MORE !
Tokyo-based creators group teamLab consider themselves as “Ultra-technologists” in order to create large scale digital installations for innovations in the fields of science, technology and art. Consisted of ‘experts’ in information-related field such as programmers (user interface engineers, database engineers, network engineers, hardware engineers, computer vision engineers, software architects), mathematicians, architects, CG animators, web designers, graphic designers, editors and more, teamLab have expanded area of their activities traveling all over Japan and outside of Japan such as Brazil, China, France, Indonesia, Italy, Korea, Norway, Switzerland, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand, for nearly a decade.
In their ongoing exhibition entitled “Infinity of Flowers”, teamLab work closely with Gucci‘s iconic Flora motif to equally represent and explore the world of visual experiences using the latest computer techniques to the greatest extent possible. teamLab’s real–time computer operating system let the flowers inspired by Flora continue to bloom, move, grow, bloom and fall. If touching some part of work on the wall you can even see them – the flowers – dance. (!) The wall filled with flowers are a multi-dimensional beauty and gave me a lasting impression.
“Infinity of Flowers”, an exhibit of digital installations by teamLab will be on display through September 28 at Gucci Shinjuku event space (in the Gucci store) located at 3-26-11 Shinjuku on the third floor, Shinjuku-ku in Tokyo.
