Those 25 Years : UNDERCOVER

For decades Undercover has illuminated the Japanese fashion scene in unique ways – the fusion of street, punk and contemporary fashion designs – as a major part of creations taking place in Tokyo. To celebrate the brand’s 25th anniversary, Undercover showcases an extensive archive at Parco Museum in Shibuya, titled “‘T GRAPHICS’ 1990-2014 History of Undercover T Graphics”.

Since its inception in 1990, designer Jun Takahashi has created tee designs with a strong sense incorporating the brilliant set of dry humor and visual creativity, and apparently the tee designs become highly symbolic as to how the brand Undercover has inspired people to rave so far…. It was great to see his work all at once.

Sometimes I wish I lived in Tokyo instead of Okinawa. I love all the exhibitions they get over there! Thanks for posting this so I can live vicariously through your blog.

Thanks Jeridel. Will you permanently be in Okinawa?
Yes, I am sure Tokyo is good to explore creativities as it is always a fountain where Japanese pop culture (and subculture also) exists and comes from. I will be making my (creative) journey in Tokyo for a while at least entire year of 2014. Hope I can blog more and more to share with you! x

No, I’ll only be in Okinawa until next August.
I’ve visited Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefectural several times when I home-stayed with a family from there. I wish that some of those “creativities” were in Okinawa because there’s a large community of English speakers here. Unless you’re military, there’s not much to do… Please keep blogging! I enjoy them!
