— ART, FASHION & MORE !
It’s been so warm here in the Eastern part of Japan lately. (Oh summer is definitely coming!) I like to look for hidden art below the upcoming season as I get excited for the best time to hit the beach.
Describing itself as ‘a shop presenting Japanese cool’, Katakana, the charming small store in Jiyugaoka area in Tokyo currently holds an exhibition of Japanese glasswork that give you some beautiful ideas to cool off on a hot summer day. From traditional glass art to more modern plateware, the exhibition has a collection of glasswork gathered from the glasswork enthusiasts in Japan such as glass art gallery, artisanal groups and independent glass makers.
You would hear a light clink of glass against glass that inspire you about the fragile beauty.
Japan’s Glasswork Exhibition is on view at Katakana located at 5-20-21 Okusawa, Setagaya-ku in Tokyo until Monday the 16th of June.
