— ART, FASHION & MORE !
I’ve never thought “to get rid of a style/taste because of my age”, which means I simply have a longing for another interesting story with outfit every day.
However, I realize that sometimes people stick to their stereotyped idea and cling to it as for what they wear, because they try to think about “age-appropriate” designs for outfit. (I know everyone physically gets older). When it comes to speak of clothes adorned with frills, they tend to lead to a split between someone who likes and someone who does not, due to the major images that are featured in a world of the Girly/Lolita fashion, a fairy tale and womenswear in an old film; so, I assume that frills look like a bit of feeling of escapism from reality for someone who doesn’t like them.
Anyway, I say this with a passion that I have amassed a collection of frilly clothes. In contrast to items for warm season, I love the frilly items –constructed rather thicky in heavy materials- better. Meanwhile, I would really like to introduce one item; a tartan-frilled shirt from Emily Temple cute, Harajuku-based women’s apparel company. Moreover, it’s made with refined/delicate wool. I love this idea so much…
In February 1999, Emily Temple cute established the company and started launching their products in Harajuku,Tokyo, Japan. According to Emily Temple cute, “getting inspiration from European antiques, the brand conveys / emphasizes the feelings of women’s inner child and also brings a taste of pop art associated with the pursuit of their pleasure in decking oneself out.”
It’s true that there are a lot of people who have specific thoughts about Japanese young female fashion that is so reflected by the boom of Lolita fashion or anime culture. Among them Emily Temple cute may also be categorized in a way because of their brand concept as women should be “adorable” ones; probably outside of Japan, especially in Western culture we scarcely see this expression to complement her outfit if she’s an adult. But I can attest Emily Temple cute truly gives you a chance to deck yourself out in a bit of dreamy way with the perfect placement of designs, especially frills, and use of colors.
So, wearing this shirt I can always feel that I jump into a paradise and/or the world of picture book… And apparently my excitement for this well-constructed wool shirt has been growing more and more, along with the chilly autumn nights that already came along in New York last week.
