— ART, FASHION & MORE !
As I mentioned previously, I have an obsession with hosiery, and this has become one of the most important reasons why I show less of my bare skin all year round even though I am in the midst of summer.
However, I have secretly confirmed there is also something that naturally makes me expose my bare skin and wear bare-footed; espadrille. I assume espadrilles are generally known as a symbol of footwear for summer made of jute for sole and canvas for upper with the sound of a French word, but this French word “espadrille” originally came from “espardenya” used in Catalonia, Spain as the meaning of an English word “shoe”.
By such reasons, I was over the moon when I met this Spain-made beige espadrille at Rabbits Vintage in Williamsburg the other day. I feel that the earth-toned colors educe the texture of fabrics and remind me of the charming scenes in summer; like a hammock hung from a big tree to take a long nap, fine-grained sand from the beach, … and a dazzling sunlight. The way I enjoy the season, especially summer, is intimately-connected to how much I can love and be inspired by characteristic of fabrics. And I have a policy to style myself with natural fabrics whenever I wear espadrille – ALL COTTON!

I must have been overwhelmed by espadrille with magical powers capable of ruining the summer. At the same time I learn my powerful yet special love for espadrille exposing my bare legs more than usual even though I’m basically not into exposing my legs to the public…
After my daily routine (grabbing a big chocolate chip cookie to function), I did lace up my espadrille more tightly to feel summer much closer.
