— ART, FASHION & MORE !
I don’t think things come out all wrong, but somehow this spring’s naughty weather has made me become even more attached to hosiery so far. Last time I got done writing about my love for hosiery, but once again I write about it now, with a different look.
I consider women in my motherland who are in my generation which is in their early 30s rarely wear over the knee socks unless they have a true passion for hosiery or are in art/fashion fields.
I never tried finding out why this tendency appears, but I personally sense that people in Japan, in general, tend to capture the public image of “over the knee socks” as it seems something childish in a way, and an item that stimulate the formation of sex appeals since over the knee socks focus not only on legs but also thighs. (It can relates to the fact that the majority of women who grew up in Japan and are in their 30s tend to avoid wearing mini skirt.) I’m not frivolous at all, but I’ve wanted to say loudly, “Get playful with & think creatively about what to wear for your legs regardless of age.”- It feels like people don’t hesitate to think about many styles of SHOES to wear, but hosiery often can be a conservative topic that get swept under the rug… Ah, I don’t want to style something to dress up for foot and legs separately.
Anyway, I am almost in my own world like a girl feeling so passionate about dress-up dolls when I choose over the knee socks for myself. To maximize the fun part of socks, I reconsider my height and body figure to get along with materials, color and designs, and I can finally rediscover my happy style.
I would go try to get better ideas to brighten my knees for a while, because I really can’t stop loving my spring(y) step right now.
