— ART, FASHION & MORE !
Excuse me, I can’t help wondering, when exactly does spring finally arrive in New York?…This is my feeling exactly, but I’ve started to put some spring in my outfit with my excitement to burst forth from the prolonged climate of winter, because I believe spring is the best for taking advantage of the characteristic of my baby face and style.
Meanwhile, “You look like a baby!” I received a comment from someone again lately. Well, how come this person told me that I seem to be a baby (regardless of my baby face)? I assume it’s because I often pick clothing adorned with frills made of soft materials, in addition to my desire for spring outfit which comes out through pastel and neutral colors.
Some people would generally want to be scantily dressed when the warm season is approaching, but I dare to wear layers of clothing with the flittering texture of fabric – this fact, my desire for layering, persuades me that my style is probably not on sexy side. Also, the pastel and neutral colors – I select the subtle colors to show details of clothes effectively as well as describing soft atmosphere of spring, the season in which, the warm ray of the sun will be pouring down. As it turns out, the combination (frills/layer/subtle colors) conveys an image of something girly to people.
I dislike this kind of stereotyped ideas, but the phrase ‘me looking like a baby’ always makes me smile and can be a way of bragging about myself. I secretly feel like I derive benefit from my identity that I could freely pass through some sort of time-warp to someone’s girlhood although there is no doubt that I’m officially an adult (born in 1982)…!
This time I picked up my outfit (grey net cardigan, frilled ivory turtleneck, ruffled pastel pink tunic & frilled socks) from About Glamour where I work – Literally I am thrilled to frills!
