— ART, FASHION & MORE !
When the blizzard Nemo hit New York City on Friday night, it seemed like spring is a long way off to go which I cannot see well. Yet, it was a sign that I’m “unconsciously” awaiting an arrival of spring-time.
Envisioning a great potential for spring in my mind, I started walking across the Williamsburg Bridge from the Lower East Side on a sunny day. To be honest, I really like that time which is about 25 minutes to get out of the bridge. I haven’t even thought of all the things I could do with that time, but I can always freely imagine something come up to me and yet I become fresh when I approach where the bridge ends.
And right after the bridge ends, I usually go to one of my favorite vintage boutiques in Williamsburg, Le Grand Strip.
Le Grand Strip gives me something I didn’t know but loved, whenever I am there. The glitzy space with tons of vintage pieces selected from 1950’s to 1990’s and carefully hand-picked in France and Italy is totally a fun mixture of a matured woman’s sultriness and a pixie’s puckishness. It’s a really exciting place for me to find something special and powerful when I feel like making a new story for my outfit even though my theme is just really specific.
At last I found this headwear, a beautiful combination of the delight feelings of spring and the silent- frosty air of winter, which expresses my feeling exactly. Also, it is my FIRST headwear shopping in 2013. I put headwear almost everyday, at least 350 days a year (Won’t you please look at ABOUT again, at Point Maiko 6) ?), so I was on cloud nine about adding new spice to my headwear collection too.
Anyway, I’m very happy to bloom this flower which gives a proud look to the sky from my head. I was successful at shortening the mental distance to the coming warm season.
